This place in Finnish Lapland is known as winter in the middle of nowhere. Its abrupt nature makes this one of the most magical places in the country, ideal for fans of winter sports and snow, or simply to relax in one of the many saunas and open air hot pools. Observing the Northern Lights from here is really one of the greatest pleasures of nature. Populised by the Soviet occupation of the Second World War, today, Salla offers travellers a wide range of activities: ski classes, sushi nights and ski-jumping championships.
