Considered one of the greenest countries in Europe, Slovenia is a natural jewel located between the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea, and it can boast a variety of landscapes ranging from high mountains to seaside towns. Its capital, Ljubljana, provides a great example of sustainability and environmental responsibility, so in 2016 it was named as the Green Capital of Europe.
